DYNAMIC STRETCHING + ACTIVATION . I always start my workouts with a warm-up to elevate my heart rate, and then I get right into dynamic stretching and activation. Some of you have seen this in my stories! ? This prepares the body for the rest of your workout by activating the core, moving the body in a variety of angles and giving you a chance to really TUNE IN to your body and see how you’re feeling today before jumping into any high-intensity or weighted exercises. ?Plus, dynamic stretching and activation helps to prevent injuries! . Here’s a simple sequence I do that is totally bodyweight. ?You don’t even need a mat! You can do it, anywhere, anytime! P.S. Swipe left to see the moves with the names on them! . -Lateral Walks -Half Squat + reach -Hinges -Inchworms -Plank to Runner’s Lunge -Runner’s Lunge + Twist to Cossack Stretch * both sides -Push-Up to Side Plank -Plank Up Downs -Lateral Lunges * both sides -Curtsy Lunges * both sides -Shoulder T’s and W’s . Do each exercise for 30 seconds, repeating on both sides as necessary! . P.S. If you’re just starting out, this may feel like a workout in and of itself! That’s A-OKAY! 🙂 Start where you are, stay as consistent as you can, and before you know it this will turn into your warm-up!
